Broadway Tower Country Park
Broadway Tower is built on an ancient beacon site and has a colourful history. It has been known as a farmhouse, a home to the renowned printing press of Sir Thomas Phillips, a country retreat for Pre-Raphaelite artists, including the artist, designer, writer, craftsman, and socialist William Morris, as well as being a location for the studies of the distinguished archaeologist Sir Arthur Evans.
Shakespeare Birthplace Trust
William Shakespeare was born in Stratford in 1564, as well as spending much of early life there he was also married there to a woman from the nearby hamlet of Shottery. Later he bought property in and around the town, including one of the largest houses, New Place. Following his death in 1616, he was buried in the grounds of the parish church. Throughout his life Shakespeare remained in close touch with his native town, even though at the height of his career he spent most of his time in London. Stratford is a wonderful place to visit with many museums, shops, boutiques, tea shops and restaurants and always has a buzzing atmosphere.
Snowshill Lavender Farm
Snowshill Lavender Farm is situated at Snowshill, where Lavender is grown in the surrounding fields. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the fields to enjoy the splendid colour and aroma as well as visiting the onsite shop to purchase gifts and crafts or enjoy a spot of afternoon tea.
Snowshill Manor belongs to the National Trust and is situated in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold village of Snowshill. The manor house contains an amazing collection of Arts and Crafts with something to interest everyone including, furniture, musical instruments, toys and even a display of Japanese Samurai armour. There is also a beautiful garden to enjoy, a restaurant with stunning views over the Cotswolds and a shop selling souvenirs.
Evesham Country Park
Evesham Country Park is located at the northern end of Evesham and is situated within a 130 acre estate. There are a wide range of activities to enjoy including, a large retail shopping area, a light Railway for children and adults and a Vale Wildlife visitor centre.
Sudeley Castle & Gardens
Sudeley Castle and Gardens is set against the beautiful backdrop of the Cotswold Hills and is rich in history, with royal connections spanning through the centuries. After being neglected for over two hundred years, it was purchased in 1837 by John and William Dent who began an ambitious restoration programme to return the property to its original former glory, which can be seen today. Visitors can now enjoy a stroll around the gardens and plant centre, or stop for afternoon tea at the coffee shop, whilst the children amuse themselves at the newly opened Adventure Playground.
The Cotswold Way
The Cotswold Way is a 103 mile long distance walk that starts from the pretty market town of Chipping Campden and finishes in the wonderful Roman city of Bath. Along the trial you can enjoy amazing views across the Cotswolds and encounter unspoiled woodland, prehistoric hill forts and ancient burial barrows.
Cheltenham Racecourse is approximately a 30 minute drive away from Peace Haven and hosts many events throughout the year. Starting in October there are 16 race days with the very best in steeplechasers hurdlers, trainers and jockeys. The Cheltenham Gold Cup Week is a very popular event that takes place during the beginning of March every year.
Warwick Castle is one of the finest castles in Europe and has for centuries, been the home of the mighty Earls of Warwick. Warwick is a wonderful medieval town, with beautiful river walks, ancient streets and is great place to visit during your holiday.
